Fixing Foggy Windows

Sometimes getting the inside of your vehicle to the perfect temperature can cause your windows to get foggy. If it's cold outside turning on the heater will quickly fog up your windows, and when it's hot outside the air conditioner can cause your windows to fog.

The cause of this bothersome nuisance has to do with the moisture that's in the air. When it's cold the moisture inside the car turns to moisture when it touches the window that's below a specific temperature. The opposite happens when it's hot and humid outside.

Fog can make it hard to see out of your window which is dangerous. So when it's cold outside turn the defrost on to cool air and let it blow on the window or turn the defrost on to warm so that it evaporates the moisture. When turning on the defrost make sure you turn of the recirculate feature.
